Faculty: DR. ISMAIL ABDULLAHI Ismail Abdullahi is an Associate Professor at the School of Library and Information Sciences at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) in Durham, North Carolina. A graduate of the Royal School of Library and Information Science in Denmark, he has an MLS from North Carolina Central University and a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to his NCCU appointment, Dr. Abdullahi was on faculty at Clark Atlanta University from 1992 to 2005 and the University of Southern Mississippi from 1989 to 1992. He has worked as a librarian in public, special and academic libraries in Denmark and the United Sates. He has also worked as a library consultant in Denmark, United States and United Kingdom. Dr. Abdullahi has written, lectured and conducted seminars and workshops in many countries in the fields of Library Management, International Librarianship, Services to Multicultural Groups, Community Leadership Development, Library and Information Science Education, The Digital Divide, Internationalization of LIS Education, and Library Development in the Developing World. |
