Faculty: DR. KEN HAYCOCK Dr. Ken Haycock is professor and director of the School of Library and Information Science at San Jose State University in California. He is currently a member of the ALA Council, immediate past president of the Association for Library and Information Science Education [ALISE] and has served as president of several national and international professional associations. Dr Haycock has also served as chair of the IFLA Section on Education and Training and chaired the first ALA Congress on Professional Education. Dr. Haycock has received research, teaching and leadership awards for outstanding contributions from several associations including the American and Canadian Library Associations, and has been honored by Phi Delta Kappa as one of the leading young educators in North America. He was professor and director of the School of Library, Archival and Information Studies at the University of British Columbia from 1992 to 2005. |
